PLAN4BUSINESS FP7 PROJECT is JUST STARTING

Urban and Regional Planning data sets are not aggregated so far, and thus it is very difficult to use them for any other purpose than for printing of simple publishing by the authorities that create them. Creating time series or comparative analyses on these data sets is not yet possible, yet such capabilities are sought after by researchers, spatial planners and professionals from the real estate world. The plan4business project consequently aims to develop a platform that can serve users a full catalogue of planning data such as transport infrastructure, regional plans, urban plans and zoning plans. The platform infrastructure, regional plans, urban plans and zoning plans. The platform offers clients not just the data itself in integrated, harmonised and thus ready-to-use form, but it also offers rich analysis and visualisation services via an API and an interactive web frontend. The web page of the project will start soon, after the kick-off meeting, which takes place in Dermstadt. PLAN4BUSINESS is the continuation of 4,1 meuro PLAN4ALL Project, but it will run with a more robust and rich services, serving to developers, banking sector, urban & regional planners, as well as all possible investors (citizens, SMEs, bigger developers), assisting in informed spatial decision-making processes.More info at the link below. Monitoring of land-use changes - is importanf not only in very dense urban areas, but also in peri-urban zones and rural environment of bogger cities. A cloud computing based solution have been applied to the small rural municipality of Zakrzówek in Lublin Region Poland, based on ERDAS 2011 and ISDP (ISPIK) software environment.

Interesting aspect of this soluton is - that is is much cheaper than other solutions, based on traditional
(buy software, buy hardware, do it alone) approach.
Detection change was applied to detect changes in Land-Use between 2003 and 2009 orthophotos, with 50 and 25 cm resolution.
1228 changes in Land Use were identified in this period in the borders of this small municipality (ca 7000 inhabitants)

Just starting to experiment with the tag clouds...  

We are jointly implementing geoportal of one of rural communities in Poland, together with :
GEOSYSTEMS Polska and Institute of Spatial and Cadastral Systems.
Geoportal will be in full compliance with INSPIRE, GMES and PLAN4ALL. It will use ISO, OGC, INSPIRE, GMES and PLAN4ALL Spatial Planning Metadata Profile, so that, geoportal will allow to publish spatial data and services in the really interoperable way.
To prove it, we will link several servers, incuding (but not limited to) :
- geoportal of municipality,
- county (powiat) geoportal (when it will start to exist - either in 2012 or 2013)
- regional geoportal (when it will start to exist - either in 2012-or 2013)
- geoportal.gov.pl, http://www.geoportal.gov.pl
- geoportal of spatial planning in Poland, a prototype : http://geohub.pl
- european geoportal of http://www.plan4all.eu

Joint European Seminar of HLANDATA, PLAN4ALL and HABITATS

Joint European Seminar of HLANDATA, PLAN4ALL and HABITATS projects took place in Brussels on September 21st. Representatives of DG ENV, DG INFSO, ISOCARP, and HLANDATA, PLAN4ALL and HABITATS projects have discussed importance ocollaborative approach to generation of spatial  planning and monitorng data and services. Two days - workshop took place in 3 places : rural minucipality of Zakrzowek in Lublin Region of Poland, in Starostwo Powiatowe (powiat - county) of Lublin and in Ministry of Regional Development in Warsaw, on August 30th and 31th
