Celebration at University Centre of Modern Technologies Education

I have participated in the small celebration devoted to ultra quick and fascinating results of University Centre of Modern Technologies Education at Nickolaus Copernicus University in Torun, Poland. Small room was fully crowded, with Rector of University, Mr Piotr Calbecki, President of Kujawy-Pomerania Region, Richard Ruminski, Plenipotentiary of Mr Calbecki for Information Society and another 40 persons. Maciej Pańka, young and very proffessional Centre Manager presented cool multimedia clip, zipping in express several years of centre's activity, and explaining movement from traditional IT to mobile world of video-communication, video broadcasts, videoconferences, screen sharing, I-Pad - smartphones - tablets - videos- skype type communications and the meaning of these trends to way people act and interact. Really nice job done. Nowthe time is coming into nextphase in Centre's activities, related to training and e-learning of public adminstration of Kujawy -Pomerania. Centre has already some GIS licenses, but we will work on that together with Region, Rector and Manager of the Centee to assist in movement from GIS to SDI type of activities and trainings for planners in understnding what are INSPIRE and GMES legal animals...:-)
